Facilities Department

12 Month Position

 

Position Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of carpentry duties within the District, including repairing equipment, hanging drywall and making cabinets and shelves.                              

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Post-high school vocational study preferred
• Requires 2-5 years of job-related prior experience.
• Requires completion of Asbestos Awareness Program
• Basic math skills required.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• Working knowledge of carpentry trade terminology
• Working knowledge of door hardware

 

Essential Duties:

• Installs, maintains and replaces doors and door jambs.
• Designs, fabricates and installs and finishes cabinets, countertops and bookshelves.
• Installs and repairs drywall.
• Performs concrete repair, including form and finishing work.
• Installs drop ceilings.
• Assists in fire code and Health Department inspections, including performing necessary upgrades to facilities.
• Installs and repairs outdoor equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Orders supplies for carpentry projects.
• Assists maintenance personnel as needed
• Fabricates and Installs aluminum flashing, soffits and siding.
• Repairs bleachers.
• Serves as substitute custodian as needed.

 

COMPENSATION FOR EXPERIENCE IS CONSIDERED, 2026-2027 Classified Salary Schedule
