Social Emotional Learning Interventionist

2024-2025 – One Year Only

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Requires valid Missouri Teaching Certificate.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Instructs students.
• Develops and delivers lesson plans appropriate to the needs and abilities of assigned students.
• Uses a variety of instructional techniques and reading materials appropriate for the age and skill level of students.
• Supports small group instruction in social emotional learning skills.
• Assists with the screening, observation, and evaluation of students.
• Collaborates with the Counseling Department to plan and implement SEL services for students.
• Maintains thorough running records and anecdotal notes for assigned students.
• Collects data to share with classroom teachers.
• Participates in monthly professional development sessions.
• Attend team meetings as required.
• Attend parent meetings as required.
• Provide input to teams regarding student academic strengths and weaknesses.
• Provide the high quality instruction time needed to move students to grade level proficiency.
• Provides PD to staff pertaining to SEL/Behavior building data and student needs.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Director and/or principal.
