School Bus Monitor

Full-time Position

 

Position Summary:  Cooperates with driver in a mutually responsible manner to insure the safe transportation of all students on the bus including to behavior needs, medical and physical needs.

                                                                                                                       

Qualifications:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
• Requires 2-5 years of job-related prior experience
• First Aid and CPR training required

 

Essential Job Functions include the following:

• Assisting driver in loading and unloading of students. Including walking students onto the school bus and operation of wheelchair lift equipment and tiedown.
• Monitoring behavior of student on the bus.
• Apply school recommended interaction techniques when necessary to maintain order and safety.
• Performs health care procedures to assist identified students
• Other duties may be assigned

 

COMPENSATION FOR EXPERIENCE IS CONSIDERED, 2023-2024 Classified Salary Schedules
