Description:

Responsible for teaching Saturday swim lessons, lifeguarding during lessons and recreational swim times, and helping to maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be 16 years of age or older (15 1/2 year olds accepted with workers permit)
• Requires certification in lifeguarding/first aid, CPR/AED for lifeguards and Bloodborne Pathogens

• Requires 0 to 2 years of job-related prior experience

Essential Job Functions include the following:

• Instructs students age 3 and up to swim
• Tests students and places them in the correct class
• Keeps parents informed of the student’s progress
• Guards the pool during recreational swim times
• Helps with general maintenance
• Initiates emergency procedures
• Other job duties may be assigned
