QUALIFICATIONS:  Requires valid Missouri Elementary (K-3 or 1-6) teaching certificate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Instructs elementary students (K-2).
• Develops and delivers lesson plans appropriate to the needs and abilities of assigned students.
• Uses a variety of instructional techniques and reading materials appropriate for the age and skill level of students.
• Assists with the screening and evaluation of students.
• Maintains thorough running records and anecdotal notes for assigned students.
• Collects data to share with classroom teachers.
• Participates in monthly professional development sessions.
• Attend team meetings as required.
• Attend parent meetings as required.
• Provide input to teams regarding student academic strengths and weaknesses.
• Provide the high quality instruction time needed to move students to grade level proficiency.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the Director and/or principal.
